What to Expect

PREPARING FOR YOUR ROOFING JOB

Your roofing job might seem overwhelming but with the assistance of Lee’s Roofing, it can go smoothly. Please read the tips below to learn how to make your roofing job as safe and stress-free as possible.

BEFORE CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

GETTING YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS READY

  • The roofing crew will need access to the driveway, so please park vehicles away from the house.
  • Remove all loose items from walls and shelves. Hammering can shake the items off.
  • Remove all items from around the house where roofing debris or bundles of shingles may fall.
  • Be prepared for the noise! You may want to leave the house while a roofing job is in progress.
  • Please do not run sprinklers the night before or during construction.
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area.
  • We use power tools occasionally to cut decking or shingles. Please check power breakers to make sure they are working properly.

WHEN WORK BEGINS

  • The day your roofing job begins, notify your mortgage and insurance company so they can expedite the inspection and payment process.
  • Please check the color of shingles when they are delivered and contact us immediately if they are not the color you ordered.
  • Our roofers are instructed not to tear off more than they can replace in a day so the roof is not exposed to inclement weather. The weather might delay any work done on your roof.
  • Check hot water heater and stove vents after the job is completed. Also, check heater vents in the attic to make sure they have not pulled loose or ask your estimator to check for you.
  • We make every effort to pick up all nails. The yard will be rolled with a magnet nail roller. Some nails might be hidden in the grass and shrubbery and get missed.
